Microsoft has just rolled out another update for iPhone users, this time for the Skype app that thus reaches version 6.19 in the App Store.

The new version of Skype for iOS comes with improved UI, which Microsoft thinks should make the app easier to use on all devices, including iPhones and iPads.

“We’ve slightly changed some of the colours in the app to make it easier for everyone to use the app,” Microsoft explains in the change log posted in the App Store.

The differences between the old and the new UI in terms of colors, however, are barely noticeable, so it’s hard to believe that users will indeed find the updated version easier to use. On the other hand, improvements like these certainly come in handy no matter how small they are, but UI revamps have a bigger impact when more elements are redesigned.

At the same time, Skype for iOS version 6.19 brings fixes to improve call reliability and reduce crashes, so if you’ve previously experienced issues with the app and hoped for a fix, this new release might make everything a lot smoother.

Skype for iOS is quite successful and is actually one of Microsoft’s most popular apps on the iPhone, so if you use it too, make sure you install this latest version to benefit from all the improvements mentioned above.
