The app now comes with a Windows 10 optimized UI

Microsoft has just released an update for the Surface app that brings it in line with the Windows 10 redesign, as it includes several UI changes, as well as under-the-hood improvements supposed to fix some widespread issues.

As you can see for yourselves if you’ve already installed the new version of the app, it now comes with a Windows 10 optimized interface.

But the biggest change is under the hood, as it appears that this Surface app update also includes some pretty important fixes for bugs that were previously discovered in the old version and that affected Surface Pro 3 users.

One of the features of Microsoft's top-of-the-range tablet is the Surface pen, which lets you simply click it to take a note and save it to OneNote. For some reason, the Windows 10 upgrade broke down this feature and many Surface Pro 3 users reported it to Microsoft, but no fix has been available until now.

So if you're the owner of a Surface Pro 3 and the Surface pen isn't working as expected after upgrading to Windows 10, this new version of the Surface pen is a must-have to correct all problems. Of course, some other changes could also be available too, but Microsoft isn't very interested in releasing change logs these days.

The better option is to simply download the Surface app for Windows 10 and see if it brings anything else to the table.
