Microsoft has released new app updates for Windows 10 today, so consumers who have already installed the new operating system are recommended to fire up the store and look in the Downloads and updates section to get the new versions as soon as possible.

There are two updates waiting for your download now, namely Get Office and Photos, but just as usual, there are no release notes, so it’s hard to tell what exactly has changed in these versions.

Given the fact that Microsoft rolled out Office 2016 earlier today, the new Get Office update might be related to this release, helping your download and installing the new productivity suite on your Windows 10 PC.

And speaking of Office 2016, it is fully compatible with Windows 10 and Microsoft’s also offering a free version of the application for devices with a 10-inch display or smaller. The free Office suite is offered as a universal app and works on PCs, tablets, and smartphones running the new OS. Additionally, they are fully optimized for the touch and can be used without a mouse and keyboard.

Despite the lack of release notes, users are still recommended to update their apps as soon as possible because they are likely to get bug fixes and performance improvements that contribute to a significantly better experience in Windows 10.

More significant app updates are expected soon, as Joe Belfiore suggested, so you should have a look in the store every day to find out what’s new.
