A WP version of Prisma will debut this month

Prisma is an application that has recorded millions of downloads on iOS in the last few weeks, offering features to create stunning artworks from just a regular photo that you shot with an iPhone, using styles based on Van Gogh, Picasso, and other famous people artist patterns.

The app, however, is only available on iOS for the time being, but it won’t be long until it arrives on another platform. And no, it won’t be Android as 99.99 percent of the people would expect, but Windows Phone (and it feels so good to say it!).

An email sent by the development team to a user who asked for the app to be ported to Windows phones confirms that Prisma is expected to launch on Microsoft’s platform as soon as this month, and there are chances that it will be a universal app.

Most likely, the app will be ported to Windows 10 using Microsoft’s Project Islandwood, which includes a bridge and the necessary solutions to create universal apps for the Windows platforms using the original iOS app code.

There were cases, however, when such emails have proved to spread inaccurate information, so for the moment, let’s just not get our hopes too high, although it might be hard this time, given the fact that Prisma is really an exciting app on iOS, and it’s not currently available on Android phones.
