When it comes to torrent download, many users no longer see past uTorrent. However, there are other simple torrent managers out there, such as the recently updated qBittorrent. It is a multi-platforms solution developed in C++/Qt4.

The latest release is 2.9.3 and it brings to the table only bug fixes. It solves a problem with “btdigg” plugin (Python3 support + torrent name in magnet links) and IPv6 peers should no longer be banned starting this build.

Another issue solved in qBittorrent 2.9.3 is with reporting the progress for disabled files. On the same note, torrent sorting is no longer case-sensitive.

The new version of the app brings to the table a better program updater, more reliable when it comes to version detection and comparison.
