If you’re not a fan of really mainstream mobile messaging services like WhatsApp, then you’re probably a Telegram user and that’s not a bad thing at all given the fact that this is one of the most secure solutions of its kind.

And what’s more, the developing team behind Telegram releases updates for Windows and Windows Phone on a regular basis and that’s exactly what happened this morning.

Telegram Messenger version 1.25 for Windows and Windows Phone brings several improvements, starting with options to find inline bot shortcuts in the attachment menu and ending with tools to reach your friends faster with a new People list in the Search menu.

But the truly helpful addition concerns your conversations, as Telegram allows you to edit messages everywhere within 2 days after posting. This means that you have 48 hours to edit a message you sent, so there’s plenty of time for that should you change your mind on something you posted.

And additionally, Telegram also lets you mention people in groups with the @ symbol that’s being used on Twitter. All you have to do is to type @ and then select your contact from the list, even if he doesn’t have a name.

As usual, the new Telegram update is shipped through the store, so you should be already able to download it on both Windows and Windows Phone devices.
