The Surface Laptop is one exciting product that’s already available for pre-order, but those who wanted the top-of-the-range configuration originally had to wait until August 15 to get it.

Fortunately, it looks like Microsoft is doing a good job aligning production with demand, so the most powerful Surface Laptop will ship sooner now.

The official store page indicates that shipments of the top Surface Laptop will begin on June 30, though there’s no guarantee that everyone will get it the same day given that demand is likely to increase.

And although it looks like so many people are interested in buying it, the most powerful Surface Laptop does not come cheap.

The device costs $2,199 and comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage. If you go for 8GB RAM, the same CPU can be paired with 256GB storage for a final price of $1,599. Both versions can be ordered in just one of the four colors available, namely Platinum, with Graphite Gold, Burgundy, and Cobalt Blue only offered for the more affordable configurations.

The Surface Laptop is Microsoft’s first conventional laptop, after the Surface Book that launched in October 2015 with a detachable keyboard.

At the same time, it’s Microsoft’s device specifically aimed at the education market, coming with Windows 10 S, but also supporting the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro free of charge if the switch is performed by the end of the year.
