14 DAY TRIAL // WhatsApp for Windows Phone has just received a new update as part of the beta program, getting new features that could at some point be released to all users too.
Keep in mind that, for the moment, version 2.16.98 is only available for members of the beta testing program, and since it’s private, only invited users can participate.
aggiornamentilumia.it writes that this new update comes with options for group conversations, letting you quote reply a message to make a chat between several users easier to follow. This is very similar to the quote reply option that’s available on online forums, so replies can thus be directly aimed at a specific user participating in the conversation.
A similar feature has already been added in the previous beta builds, but with this update, the WhatsApp makes it work in group conversations as well, and it also supports file attachments that are shared by any of the participants. Previous versions have also introduced a new UI for sending attachments in a conversation, so all these updates come to refine the newest features before they are officially released to all users in the store.
WhatsApp is one of the applications that are frequently updated on Windows Phone, so it shouldn’t take too long before users who aren’t part of the private beta program get all these improvements.
