The beta version of WhatsApp has just received a new version that comes with more changes on Windows Phone after the application got quite a lot of improvements in the latest update for the stable build.

aggiornamentilumia.it writes that WhatsApp version 2.16.74 arrives with a small redesign of the chat info screen for both individual and group chats, while also reintroducing the app bar, this time without icons, in conversations.

Additionally, the group chat information screen also provides access to media content shared by the participants in the conversation, so you can see all photos and audio files in one place. Obviously, there are also some other bug fixes and performance improvements, but bugs are also possible, given the fact that this version comes as a beta.

Keep in mind that, for the moment, WhatsApp version 2.16.74 is only available as part of the private beta program, so only registered members are allowed to give it a try right now. Everyone should receive it in the coming weeks on their Windows phones, but there’s currently no information on when the release is due to take place.

WhatsApp continues to be the top messaging app on mobile devices, and it’s good to see that the company isn’t leaving Windows Phone behind. In the meantime, however, users running WhatsApp on their iPhones are experiencing huge problems after the latest update, as the app keeps crashing at random times on their devices.
