Microsoft has already announced that Windows 10 Anniversary Update will come with some pretty exciting improvements, including overhauls of the existing features, and in a video shown by the company at Build, some of these tweaks are finally making an appearance.

The Action Center is one of the features that will soon be revamped, and as we told you yesterday, a card-based UI is very likely to be offered.

As you can see in the screenshot below, the new Action Center indeed uses cards to display information and shows messages, emails, calendar appointments, and notifications from Edge browser in a much cleaner and easier-to-use way. Furthermore, notifications are grouped by apps, and it appears that third-parties are also integrated into the card-based interface, as WhatsApp seems to be showing a notification too.

The calendar integrated into the taskbar is also getting a revamp, so starting with the Anniversary Update, it’ll show upcoming appointments. A small option to hide the agenda is also offered just in case you want to stick with the classic interface.

The Anniversary Update is projected to debut in the summer, but Microsoft hasn’t provided any specifics on timing. However, it’s expected to land in July, shortly after or before the end of the free upgrade promo on July 29, when Microsoft is likely to end the campaign that allows Windows 7 and 8.1 users to install Windows 10 without paying.
