If you’re on Windows 10 and look for updates in the store today, there’s something pretty surprising waiting for you as Microsoft has released a major set of improvements.

Today’s Windows 10 app update batch includes unnamed improvements to several popular apps that are currently on PC and mobile devices powered by the new OS, including Mail and Calendar, Windows Maps, Windows Voice Recorder, Windows Alarms & Clock, and Xbox.

Furthermore, Candy Crush Soda Saga has also received a new update, but for many, this game falls into the bloatware category, so they remove it quickly after installing the operating system.

Even though the majority of app updates come on Windows 10 without a change log, users are anyway recommended to download and install them as soon as possible, especially because they bring improvements and bug fixes that can overhaul the overall experience with the operating system. Universal apps are a big focus for Microsoft, and this is one big reason the company keeps improving them regularly with new features and bug fixes on both PCs and smartphones.

If you can’t see today’s updates just yet, you can check for new versions of your apps manually by launching the Windows Store, clicking on your profile pic and opening the “Downloads and updates” section. Just click the “Check for updates” icon, and should any updates be available, you will see them in this window.
