Concept envisions a more modern UI for Windows phones

Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update will launch on August 2 as well, as Microsoft is aiming for a synchronized release for both PCs and phones, but it’s no secret that users are hoping for more from the upcoming update, including interactive live tiles and other features.

A concept created by Moises David Perez Nara on Behance imagines an improved UI for Windows 10 Mobile that retains the traditional elements of the platform, such as the live tiles, but introduces several touches here and there for a more modern look.

The new Start screen comes with significant improvements, going for what the developer describes as a more minimalist approach, with redesigned live tiles and folders. Wide live tiles now extend from one side of the screen to the other while music playback controls, weather forecast, and calendar appointment can be displayed as tiles too.

The lock screen has been redesigned as well, and so has been the action center, with notifications now being a lot more eye-candy. The app list got a new redesign that makes it look more like the one on Windows 10 PCs, but also with several filters, including category and date installed.

Clearly, there are many ways to improve the look of Windows 10 Mobile, and hopefully, Microsoft takes a peek at these concepts. But don’t expect any big changes in the Anniversary Update, so all hopes go for the Redstone 2 wave coming in the spring of 2017.
