The feature is now broadly available in Windows 10

Microsoft has just released a new update for the OneNote app on Windows 10 that brings graph math equations to all users after previously testing this feature with help from insiders.

Specifically, what this feature does is to create graphs based on your equations with just a few steps, and since OneNote comes with full support for Windows Ink, you don’t even have to use anything else than the stylus (or the Surface Pen if you use a Surface).

The Ink math assistant makes it possible to draw graphs on equations using options that are available in the Math section of OneNote. To create a graph, write your equation, use the Lasso tool to select it, click on Draw > Math, select the Graph in 2D and then use the Insert on Page option to add the new graph to your document.

“When you write your math equations, the Ink math assistant quickly plots an interactive graph to help you visualize those difficult math concepts. You can zoom in and move the graph to observe intersection points or change values of parameters in your equations to better understand how each of them reflects on the graph. Finally, you can save a screenshot of the graph directly to your page to revisit it later,” Microsoft explains.

The feature is available with the latest version of the app for Windows 10, so go ahead and download OneNote from the Windows Store to give it a try right now.
