Microsoft has announced that IT pros looking for documentation on the company’s most important products can now connect to docs.microsoft.com, as part of a move from the TechNet Library.

The technical documentation covers a series of products like Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft Edge, Windows Store for Business, Windows for Education, and Surface devices, and includes information on how to deploy, update, manage, and secure these solutions.

Microsoft explains that the move to Docs makes everything easier for IT pros to find the content they are looking for, with the service specifically optimized not only for a PC but also for tablets and phones.

There’s also a dark theme and real-time table of contents filter for each document provided, alongside information on the estimated reading time for each article. Downloading PDF versions of some documentation is also offered to read it offline.

One of the best things about the docs.microsoft.com documentation is that it allows readers themselves to contribute by suggesting edits that can be made to each file. For example, to suggest additions or updates, users only have to click the edit button in the top right menu to open the GitHub page and mention the edits that they want to make.

The original Windows IT Center will continue to be available, but the focus will now be switched to demos, tools, and downloads, while the documentation will have its own place on the new Microsoft site.
