ESNet Malware Response Removal Tool is a straightforward application designed to scan and remove files with known malware agents, which were identified in August 2011. It performs the scan task automatically and lets you examine suspicious or infected items before deciding which ones you want to remove.

You can save the downloaded files in a custom location on the hard disk or copy them to a USB flash drive, in order to directly launch the tool on any computer. However, keep in mind that you must have .NET Framework installed, otherwise it won't run. No new entries are added to the Windows registry as a consequence of using this app, though.

It carried out scan tasks swiftly in our tests while remaining light on system resources consumption. We haven't experienced any compatibility issues, as the application didn't hang, crash or show error dialogs.

On the other hand, it hasn't been updated for a long time and doesn't have the latest virus signatures for detecting newer threats. Nevertheless, ESNet Malware Response Removal Tool gets the job done. Keep in mind that it doesn't offer real-time protection, so you still have to resort to a powerful antivirus solution, unless you already have one.
