W32.Sasser Removal Tool

W32.Sasser Removal Tool is a software application that scans your system for the W32.Sasser worm and its variants, namely W32.Sasser.B.Worm, W32.Sasser.C.Worm, W32.Sasser.D.Worm and W32.Sasser.E.Worm, to remove the infected files on sight.

This is a portable product, so it doesn't include a setup pack. In other words, you can drop the executable file anywhere on the hard disk and click it to run, as long as you have administrative privileges.

It is also possible to run W32.Sasser Removal Tool on any suspicious workstation from a USB flash disk or similar storage unit.

What's more, the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and leftover files are not kept on the hard disk after removing the program.

Its interface is made from a regular window with a simple layout, where the "what you see is what you get" principle clearly applies, as there are no other options available, aside from the Start, Cancel and About buttons, visible in the main frame.

The one-click scan procedure looks into the Windows directory and registry, where the Sasser virus is known to infiltrate, and automatically eliminates infected files. Users do not need to intervene.

The app has a minimal impact on system performance, since it requires a very low amount of CPU and RAM to run. It is not intrusive and can be minimized to the taskbar, allowing you to carry on with your normal activity. W32.Sasser Removal Tool did not hang or crash during our testing, as it serves its purpose without error.
