Making a proper first impression when delivering your newly created applications is a must and is done by wrapping files in a clever installer. This can be obtained with the help of various specialized tools like GkSetup. It gives you the possibility to easily create a custom deployment system in just a few, easy steps.

Running the application brings up the main window, fitted with all available features on a toolbar. Truth be told, most of the space is taken up by a background without any specific purpose. There is no preview section that allows you to get a glimpse of your creation, with every step accessed opening up a new window.

However, you can resize the main window and make it occupy a barely noticeable amount of space on your desktop. System resources are not a great importance, because your computer won't feel a thing from running it, nor does it requires much storage space.

Taking your time to go through all nine available steps, you notice nearly anything can be included. From the start, several customization options let you choose background color and even a custom logo.

Required files for installation are easily loaded, with the possibility to include optional files. These serve as choices for setup types which the end user selects, like full, typical or minimal.

A license and readme text can be displayed somewhere along the way, but you need to have them stored in a TXT file, as the provided field does not let you input any text. Moreover, the application gives you the possibility to set the user to enter specific data, such as company details or serial key.

There are four types of setup methods you are able to create. Info provided applies as a general rule, regardless of the build type selected. These can be standard, self extractor, disk spanned, as well as MSI.

The build process is completed almost instantly, with the path folder opened in the end. You can test either of the setup types before releasing it to the public.

To sum it up, GkSetup succesfully delivers a handful of tools with which you can be sure to make a good first impression. It's not the best looking application out there, but overall provided features are more than enough to wrap your files in a pretty setup package.
