OJOsoft DVD Ripper

OJOsoft DVD Ripper is an application that you can use to rip DVDs and convert them to videos, such as AVI, MP4, 3GP, VOB, MOV, WMV and FLV. But you can also extract the audio track and turn it into MP3, M4A, WMA, OGG, WAV and others. It can be handled by both first-time and advanced users.

The interface of the program is plain and easy to work with. You can import a DVD into the list by using either the file browser or tree view ("drag and drop" is not supported). OJOsoft DVD Ripper does not allow you to process multiple DVDs at once.

In the list of files you can read the title and duration of the input movie. All you have to do is specify the output destination and profile, in order to proceed with the encoding task.

You can modify audio and video parameters when it comes to the frame size, aspect ratio, resize method, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, channel mode, volume and others.

Settings can be saved to a new profile (by specifying properties and a profile name) or restored to their default values. On top of that, you can select the audio language and subtitle track, as well as split DVDs by chapters.

The DVD ripping tool requires a moderate amount of system CPU and memory and provides you with an online step-by-step guide. Its response time is very good and OJOsoft DVD Ripper takes a short time to complete a task.

The sound stream of the output video clips and audio tracks has a good quality. However, the image quality is not preserved at a good level. Plus, the interface could use some improvements and you cannot establish output filenames or preview the DVD before conversion.
