Power DVD to 3GP Extractor

As the name of this program implies, Power DVD to 3GP Extractor allows you to rip DVD videos and convert them to the 3GP format.

The interface of the application is plain and simple to work with. You can load a DVD folder or IFO file by using either the file browser or tree view ("drag and drop" is not supported). Unfortunately, you cannot process more than one DVD video in a single session.

The file queue provides specific information on the movie, such as name, total duration, time segment (if you want to split clips), progress and output filename. Once the output directory, file type and filename have been established, you can initialize the encoding operation with the default settings.

Otherwise, you can select the angle, audio track, subtitle language and pan and scan mode, as well as split videos by time, size or chapters. Plus, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the sample rate, frame rate, resize mode, mux rate, quant matrix and synchronization. Options can be reloaded to default.

You can preview clips in a small, built-in media player and capture frames, as well as set Power DVD to 3GP Extractor to overwrite existing files and to automatically turn off the computer or to open the output directory after conversion.

The DVD video processing program runs on a moderate-to-high amount of system resources and takes reasonable time to complete a task. It has a good response time and delivers a fair image and sound quality. No errors have occurred during our testing and Power DVD to 3GP Extractor did not freeze or crash. On the downside, you cannot specify the thread priority or minimize Power DVD to 3GP Extractor to the system tray. Plus, there is no help file available. The app has not received any updates recently.
