Vidmore DVD Ripper

Nowadays compact discs are almost a thing of the past in regard to data storage — due to better technologies coming in to fill that gap. However, some of us may still have movies/music saved on DVDs or Blu-rays, so moving them to a hard drive would be a wise decision. Vidmore DVD Ripper is the type of tool that can help you with that.

When you open the program, the first thing that meets the eye is the toolbar, which contains three entries (Converter, Ripper and Toolbox). The app opens the Ripper menu by default, so you can easily drag your disc images in every time you start it.

By taking a quick look at the provided functions, we can notice the format selection drop-down menu, which lets you rip all the disc's contents to numerous formats (MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WMW, etc.). Each format (excepting the lossless ones) comes with a customizable tab that gives you more control over the final product.

The second most important feature of this program is the Converter. To make things clear, the Converter is not linked to the Ripper in any way, so you can process any file you have on your drive.

After you load a file for conversion, multiple functions become available. Besides choosing a new format, you can add/remove subtitles, enable/disable audio tracks, cut videos, merge files, and more. Also, the application lets you batch convert your files, so if you want to save some time, you can process multiple items at once.

Similar to the converter, the Toolbox tab offers some features that are not connected to ripping DVDs. Of course, that does not mean that the tools are useless, because you can still employ them for different purposes. For example, you can edit a file's metadata, compress it, or put together multiple videos in order to create a GIF.

Vidmore DVD Ripper appears to be more than a simple disc ripper, as the features it sports can be easily separated and made into different applications. Operating the program comes really easy, but some menus may get a little complex if you are not used to this type of software.
