Writing files to disks is best done with specialized applications so it’s easy to read later on, and you don’t risk damaging the physical disk. In case you’re looking for a quick way to do this, Freeware Burner can help you write any kind of data on disks, make it bootable, or simply create ISO files to later on burn on actual disks.

A major advantage is that the application requires no installation in order to function, giving you the possibility to use it on other computers, directly from a thumb drive. While this provides a great deal of flexibility, it also enhances safety, especially since system registry entries are not modified in the process. Just make sure that .NET Framework is installed on the PC you use it on.

All the application has to offer is found in a pretty intuitive interface, making it easy to figure out even by inexperienced individuals. You’re free to add both files and folders, and this can simply be done by dragging them over the main window. There’s no size slider, but there is an indicator, sadly without a warning for exceeding maximum size.
