This discomfort does not affect all, as some can even go between 12-18 hours without shedding a tear, but there are users who have to take lots of breaks in order for their eyes to properly function. In case you are one of those affected by a screen's blue light, you might want to look for a tool that can apply a protective filter on your screen. Anti-Glare is a lightweight and intuitive application that can help you add a protective filter with a color of your choosing.

Even though it comes in a single package, the developer provides you with the choice of an installation kit or a portable app. Both instances use the same process, so if you choose to go with the portable variant, the only thing you'll have to do is to always set up the filter, whereas the installed version saves all your settings and you don't have to redo them all the time.

Applying a filter is very simple. Choose a background color and then use the slider in order to create the perfect shade. One of the best colors for these types of filters would be yellow, but if you think that another shade can do a better job, feel free to experiment.

You can prompt the tool to start with the system or add magnification levels to your screen. The magnification levels are 3x, 5x, and 8x, and they can be selected from the Magniifier tab. When the Start button is clicked, a magnifying circle will pop up on the screen, allowing you to enlarge anything you have on display. And yes, that is a typo and it would be nice if this would be fixed with further updates.

To summarize, Anti-Glare is not a top-notch app, but if you are in dire need of a protective overlay for your screen, you can give it a chance.
