30 Minute Timer

30 Minute Timer is an easy-to-use software application that can count down 30 minutes and play an audio alert when time's up. It features start, stop and reset buttons.

Installing the tool doesn't take long but you should check if your PC is equipped with .NET Framework, since it cannot work without it.

When it comes to the interface, 30 Minute Timer opts for a small window with a simple look, showing all options available.

After clicking the "Start" button, the tool begins to count down 1800 seconds. The timer can be paused by pressing "Stop" as well as stopped by pressing "Reset" (it automatically restarts the countdown).

Each button triggers the voice command spoken by a robotic male. During the countdown, you can minimize 30 Minute Timer to the systray and carry on working on your PC. Once time's up, it draws your attention by playing repetitive beeping sounds, which stops the moment you put the window in focus.

However, we've noticed that, if you click the "Start" button right after the countdown is over, the utility counts time up instead of down. This can be resolved by clicking "Reset", though.

There are no other notable options implemented by the developer. It's not possible to change the timer from 1800 seconds to something else. Also, it would've helped if the app counted minutes and seconds instead of just seconds, since people are more familiarized with this format.

All in all, 30 Minute Time offers a simple solution for counting down 30 minutes. It can be scheduled to remind you to take breaks, study, work out, cook or focus on other tasks. However, it doesn't bring interesting features to the table.
