If you travel a lot, you might want to have system time set to the right region, and you can easily have this performed at the press of a button with the help of Atomzeit.

A first cool thing about it is that you don’t have to install it to make it work, so it’s also possible to have it stored on a USB flash drive along with other tools you might need to use on other computers. System registry entries are not modified in the process, so the health status of the target PC remains intact.

On the bright side of things, the application doesn’t change your default system time on launch, so you can take a look over the set of features without messing up anything. Selection of the time server of interest is easily done through a drop-down menu. This shows the corresponding time next to the one on your computer.

The application offers a bit more info than just simple time synchronization. As such, you find last new moon, first quarter, and full moon time values, as well as last quarter, next new moon, age, phase, and current date.

The list of time servers is decent, and you can even add you own by writing down the corresponding address in the field. Sadly, you can’t have the application automatically synchronize time, with no option to make it run with Windows and start the sync process.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Atomzeit is a pretty straightforward time synchronization tool. You can use one of the various preset servers, or add your own. However, it could have used an option to have time automatically synchronized, at least at system startup.
