Create multiple tasks with one-time or recurring alarm clocks, set the snooze time, write personalized messages, and assign audio alerts #Alarm Timer #Event Reminder #Remind Event #Alarm #Reminder #Remind
Alarm is a simple-to-use application that gives you the possibility to schedule alarm clocks to go off at sharp times. It supports snooze and custom messages. The tool doesn't include complicated options or configuration settings, making it accessible to all types of users.
Before proceeding any further, you should know that it hasn't received updates for a long time and doesn't work with 64-bit Windows.
It gets quickly and effortlessly unpacked, since there are no unfamiliar options bundled with the setup kit. When it comes to the interface, the program adopts a normal window with a plain and simple structure, where you can set the alarm and snooze time, as well as write a personalized note to display on the screen when the time's up.
It's possible to cut, copy and paste text, select the preferred time format, make the alarm recurrent or a one-time vent, as well as browse the computer for an audio track to play on event. It can be tested before committing changes to make sure you picked the right song.
The tool can keep track of multiple tasks with different settings at the same time. It has a basic search function that you can use to track down a particular piece of information. Moreover, you can export all alarms with times, recurrence types and messages to a plain text document by indicating the output directory and file name.
It used a low amount of CPU and RAM in our tests, so it didn't hamper the computer's performance. We haven't experienced any stability issues, as it didn't freeze, crash or show any errors.
Too bad that Alarm hasn't been updated for such a long time that it doesn't work on 64-bit Windows. Otherwise, it comes packed with practical options to help you create multiple alarm tasks with different configurations.
What's new in Alarm 1.6a:
- Greater Win 95 compatibility (and, naturally, all-new Win NT bugs!). In addition to WAV, MID, and AVI files, Alarms can now launch programs. Daily and weekdays "roll-over" bug fixed. "Save" now disables if there's nothing new to save.
