Calendar Info

With the help of Calendar Info, you can view some general information related to the current time and time straight on your desktop. For example, you can find out if the current year is a leap year or not.

It's a simple app packed in a Modern UI appearance and developed for devices that are running Windows 8, 8.1 and 10. It doesn't have any options (aside from the ones provided by Microsoft) or configuration settings, so it can be used or viewing purposes only.

The software product is trusted by Microsoft as far as security goes, which means that it's only available in the Windows Store for download and installation. Afterward, you can launch it like a pinned app from your Start Screen or Menu.

Calendar Info gets automatically synchronized with your computer's clock to show the current date and time in the "Now" section, along with the current day and other info (e.g. leap year, daylight saving time). The timer gets refreshed every second and updated accordingly.

In the "Day" column, you can find out how many days have passed since year 1, as well as how many minutes and seconds have passed since the beginning of the day. If you scroll to the right, you'll reach a new section, "Year", where the app tells you how many days, hours, minutes and seconds have passed since the beginning of the year. Just like in the "Now" section, the second from "Year" gets updated with each passing second.

Although there are no buttons implemented for copying, print or saving this information to file, it's possible to take a screenshot and share it using another Modern UI app you have installed, thanks to the range of features offered by Windows for this kind of programs.

Calendar Info may not have rich options but it offers a simple and elegant way of finding out interesting information about the current day, time and year.
