ChronoFag Timer is a desktop application that lets you take advantage of this technique without having to spend valuable time setting everything up. It is, for the most part, very novice-friendly, but things get a bit trickier if you want to change the default settings.

One of the advantages of ChronoFag Timer is that everything is automated; once installed, the application starts the first work interval without requiring any user input, although you can pause the timer whenever you wish.

If you are happy with the default length of the work and break intervals, this program may be just what you need. There is no need to configure anything, and you can check the timer easily by moving the mouse cursor to the top-left corner of the screen.

You can access the application from the system tray icon, and new timers can be created from the context menu; these allow you to keep track of other things, and they are displayed below the Pomodoro timer.

A number of parameters can be customized, such as the length of the intervals, colors and screen lock options, but this can only be done by opening the config.hjson file in a text editor; needless to say, novices may find this to be a bit too difficult.

On the whole, ChronoFag Timer is an impressive piece of software, as it can be set up effortlessly and is very unobtrusive. If you want to customize the default settings, however, you need to edit the configuration file manually, a process that is not particularly intuitive.
