Keeping track of time can be of great importance, regardless if we’re referring to a personal or professional endeavor. With the increasing multitude of clock-type-based apps these days, as well as the time-telling features that might have already been included in other apps, or the OS itself, it’s kind of hard to find a simple, basic clock. Nevertheless, Clock was designed to fill that gap and it’s here to provide you with one minimalist time-keeping solution for your desktop.

Simplicity is at the core of Clock, meaning that you’ll only get a digital clock, and that’s it. No more extra features, nothing. This is both good and bad, but we believe that a few, basic options could have been included.

To that end, the app does allow for its interface to be resized, and this in turn will also increase or decrease the size of the clock digits. But apart from that, no other settings are provided, and it would have been nice to include some options for formatting the digits for instance.

When it comes to the potential caveats that the app carries, we could mention the fact that in its simplicity, it manages to leave out some basic requirements. For instance, one such requirement would be the ability to dock the clock’s widow to the desktop area, or, other opened apps or windows.

If you wish to preview time, you always need to click on the app’s icon in the taskbar in order to do so. There is no way of maintaining the interface “always-on-top”, which could help when having multiple apps opened simultaneously.

This basic clock type app addresses those who need a basic time-keeping program for their desktops. However, one must be aware that the app’s feature-stripped design is, as implied, truly minimalist.
