ForgottenTime strives to keep things as simple as possible, providing you with a minimalistic desktop timer can help you stay organized. It is relatively unobtrusive, and it offers only a basic set of features.

After installing the app, you can launch it and begin timing your activities pretty much instantly. The timer is very easy to configure, as you only need to move the dial to the desired position.

ForgottenTime lets you know when the timer will run out, as well as how many minutes are left. The maximum timer duration is 999 minutes, or around sixteen hours, which should be more than enough for most scenarios.

It would be a bit unfair to criticize the app for its lack of advanced features, as it was designed from the ground up with simplicity in mind, intended to offer a minimalistic, intuitive alternative to more complex timer utilities.

However, as far as its visual design is concerned, it would have been great if there was an option to remove the square border and preserve only the timer and dial. An option to modify the app’s transparency would also be more than welcome.

The timer doesn’t take up a lot of screen space, but it is not possible to remove it from the taskbar and have it be displayed in the system tray or just on your desktop. A task timer should not be intrusive in any way, and the app falls short in this regard.

Overall, ForgottenTime is a useful desktop timer that, while far from perfect, can be very helpful for those who prefer a simpler alternative to more complex time management apps.
