Mr. Clock

Proper time management is sure to help bring any kind of business closer to success, but also has a considerable impact on everyday activities. This activity doesn’t necessarily need to involve complex operations, and can simply mean setting up reminders. In this regard, Mr. Clock comes with a set of tools to configure alarms.

Before you can even install the application on your computer, you need to make sure that .NET Framework is already on your computer, because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality. Other than that, it easy to launch and configure, with the main window holding all elements in a clean interface.

Truth be told, the visual design does feel a little rough around the edges, consisting of classic window frame and other elements, with no particular style to make it stand out from the crowd. On the other hand, this simplicity makes accommodation a walk in the park, and there’s even a large clock displayed.

You need to set up some alarms for the application to be of any use. This is done in a dedicated window, requiring you to write down the hour, and minute when the notification needs to show up. The message box can either be left empty, or filled with anything you wish to be informed of when the clock strikes.

Unfortunately, the application only lets you set up two alarms, and attempting to add a third one only overwrites the second. There is an associated tray icon created, but it serves no purpose since there’s no attached menu to it, and the application can’t minimize to the tray area.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Mr. Clock is pretty unrefined, delivering a poor set of features overall. Only two alarm slots are available, with no audio notifications to configure. It can’t minimize to the tray area, or run with Windows by default to use as a daily reminder or alarm.
