There might not be enough time to finish all planned activities in a single day, but you can track them to get an idea of how long it takes to get them done. This can be quite useful on the long run, and you benefit from a great deal of third-party applications like MuayTime which provide an intuitive set of features to count time on your activities.

Setup doesn’t require a lot of effort on your behalf, with options to have the program launched right afterwards, and even make it run with Windows so that it’s ready by the time you reach the desktop, ready to count your tasks. Note, however, that it relies on .NET Framework to function, so make sure it’s on your computer.

The interface can leave you a little confusing at first, because the main window is practically empty, except for the regular frame and title bar buttons. In fact, it holds multiple empty rows in which you get to insert your activities. There are also a couple of columns, one which shows the name of the task, and the other the time.

A task is only defined by a name, and you can create one from the context menu. The counter doesn’t automatically start, and you can fill up the list of tasks first, and then start the counter. Note that only one activity can be tracked at a time, and starting a different task pauses the previous one.

The application quietly sits in the tray area during use, and you can bring it back up through a preset hotkey combination. Timers can be paused, stopped, and reset. The only downside to the whole operation is the lack of option to generate reports.

All things considered, we can state that MuayTime is a reliable application which allows you to get an idea of how much time you invest in your daily activities. Even though you can’t generate reports, tasks remain saved until you remove them, each with corresponding time tags.
