Outta Timer

Although it’s mostly a concept we created, time is one of the most important resources which help us synchronize every activity. Various related tools can be used to simply count the time left until a specific event. In this regard, Outta Timer gives you the possibility to configure multiple profiles with one or more custom timers.

The application first needs to be installed in order to function, and because of the way it’s built you can also deploy it directly on a thumb drive to use on the go. However, if you plan on using it on other computers you need to make sure that .NET Framework is on the target PC, because it’s a mandatory requirement.

On the visual side of things the interface is clean, with an intuitive overall layout which poses no accommodation problems. A large configurable timer lets you set hours, minutes, and seconds for instant countdown. The setup is practical, with a numpad showing up when selecting any of the digits.

However, the application is a little more than a countdown timer. The rest of the space is fitted with a large table in which you can add multiple timers. Doing so only requires you to write down a name, and specify a total time in hours, minutes, and seconds. This list can be saved as a custom profile to later on load and count accordingly.

Hitting “start” initiates the selected timer on the list. An audio effect can be heard when the timer reaches zero, with the possibility to disable it. You can choose a continuous counter mode which instantly jumps to the next line when done.
