A clean, simple clock to keep on the desktop in a resizable window which can be maximized to occupy the entire screen, suitable for large displays. #Qt Clock #Simple Clock #Display Time #Clock #Timer #Time
There’s a clock in the tray area so you’re always aware of time, especially when your work involves spending countless hours in front of the computer. It can be set and synchronized to any time zone, and there are also an abundance of third-party programs with which to bring a little more style to the desktop, which is also the case with QtClock.
Although the application comes packed inside a setup package, it doesn’t really mean it’s tied to your system. You have the possibility to deploy it on a thumb drive to always have a custom clock at hand. What’s more, it doesn’t put a strain on the target PC’s health status, because registry entries are not modified to ensure functionality.
The application doesn’t really come with serious intentions, but it does but a bit of effort inside the visual design. A rather simple clock shows up in a resizable window which you can stretch to fit the entire screen. Sadly, there’s no full screen mode, and even if you maximize it the title bar remains visible, which isn’t quite practical if you plan to use it as a display for kiosks or gallery screens.
The clock itself is fitted with high-quality textures even when maximized. A gradient color fills the center of the clock, while elements come with different ones to easily tell indicators apart. There’s also a seconds counter which updates in real time. There are no numbers, or the possibility to add any.
In case you want to keep it on the desktop at all times, adding a shortcut to the system Startup folder is how things are done so it starts with Windows. Unfortunately, there are no customization options, or possibility to pick a different time zone for display.
All things considered, we can state that QtClock is mostly a simple, pretty clock to keep on the desktop to always be aware of time. There is no possibility to set up an alarm, and maximizing the window leaves the title bar active, which isn’t really helpful if used on a large display.
