SNV Timer

SNV Timer is a small Windows desktop enhancement utility that comes packed with a countdown timer, calendar, note taking tool, and alarm clock.

The timer’s panel looks minimalist and easy to decode. You can check out the current time and work with a countdown timer via two analogue clocks.

The timer’s GUI is highly intuitive but not the same thing can be said about the configuration settings which are hidden under its hood. You may need to invest some extra time to learn how to tweak them.

You can make the application start counting down from a custom number of seconds, minutes, hours, or days. When it comes to notifications, SNV Timer has a lot of options to offer.

You may show custom text messages, play audio files (WAV, MID, MP3, WMA), display custom images (e.g. JPG, BMP, GIF) and videos (e.g. AVI, MPEG, WMV), run software programs, as well as activate a system-related task, like turn off, restart, log off, or start the screensaver.

Alarms can be configured in a similar manner. You may specify the time, set the date, and repeat the alarm daily, monthly, or yearly.

SNV Timer gives you the possibility to take quick notes by inputting text directly in the main window, pasting it from the clipboard, or importing data from TXT and RTF files. You are allowed to print the information, export data to TXT or RTF, perform basic clipboard actions (cut, copy, paste), undo or redo your actions, change the size of the text, and clear the workspace with a single click.

The calendar looks intuitive and allows you to jump to the next or previous month, and view the difference between the current date and a custom one.

SNV Timer proves to be a handy software program worth having on your computer for performing time management tasks. It works fast and without errors. It is not a resource hog so you do not have to worry that it affects the overall performance of the computer.
