An applicaton that easily tracks time spent on a project #Time Tracker #Time Spent #Time Organizer #Time #Organizer #Timer
It’s a pretty important thing to know the time it takes to finish your tasks, because you can improve your workflow, but also to earn some free time at the end of the day. Working on a computer has its advantages, which makes time tracking an easy task, and you can accomplish this with the help of applications like Time Stamp.
Once installed, you get the chance to quickly have the program launched to see what it’s all about. You start off in a default blank project, which allows you to start timers right away. All sessions are displayed in an organized table, with column headers for start and stop time, total, slack, work, cost, and notes.
Different projects are saved as files, and you can easily load them at any given moment. Only one session can be active at a time. In order to also view cost of your activity, the application comes with an income tracker, which can also motivate you to work a little harder. If you’re honest with yourself, you can also use the slack timer to see how much goes to waste.
Most of the table cells are interactive, except for time values, which start and stop once clicked on. Just above the table you find valuable info regarding total elapsed, slack, and work times, as well as total work and slack cost, and hourly rate.
Various configuration options are available under the preferences menu. These allow you to slightly tweak the interface by choosing some elements to display, file management and project saving locations, printing options, and more. You can export your work as XML or CSV.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Time Stamp is the type of application which can prove quite useful if you’re having a hard time managing your tasks in your daily schedules. Different projects can be created, and you can neatly track activities, including slack time in an attempt to improve performance.
