Time Zone Setter

By default, Windows is configured to set the time zone automatically, based on your location. In fact, on a Windows system that is configured to receive updates, the time zone is maintained automatically. However, this does not happen if the OS has the Windows updates disabled, so setting the time zone information needs to be done manually. You can do this via the Windows Settings, but Time Zone Setter helps you achieve the same from a single window, without having to browse the Settings.

There is no need to install Time Zone Setter. In fact, this lightweight utility is portable, meaning you can carry it around with you on a removable storage drive and use it on the go. It allows you to set the time zone by selecting it from a long list and change the name of the time zone, if needed,

Not just that it allows changing the time zone information but also helps you adjust the offset (or bias) from the GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and, furthermore, it helps you configure the parameters of daylight-saving time. As such, you can change the DST bias as well (in hours and minutes) and change the occurrence of the recurring daylight saving. This particularly comes in handy to those who live in countries where daylight saving is used. The standard time can also be modified, along with its offset.

It is advisable that you create a time zone backup file before making and applying modifications with Time Zone Setter. You can easily adjust the system time and date but note that your changes might be overridden on systems that allow the automatic modification of the time zone settings based on the Internet time.

Primarily intended to be used on systems that do not receive Windows updates, Time Zone Setter can handle time zone information and "dynamic" daylight saving parameters, specific to each year. It is a simple and portable app that can successfully replace the Windows Settings tool in terms of setting the time zone.
