Time flies the same way whether you’re having fun or not. However, you might want to keep track of things going on, especially if you’re on vacation. A cool way to save all photos and memories you gather, is with the help of applications like Timeline Studio, letting you organize all events in a timeline, with options to include text and pictures.

Most of the main window space is where the timeline is show. The upper toolbar is split into several tabs, each with different functions so you don’t feel overwhelmed. If you ever feel lost, there are various hints that show up to let you know what a particular option does, or how it’s best to manage other functions.

The timeline doesn’t necessarily have to represent actual days and hours, and you’re free to set timeline values as you see fit, but there is a general rule that splits the timeline into months. Choosing to start a new timeline brings up a wizard configuration window, to help you quickly create a few events, and choose the way the timeline is displayed.

You’re free to skip the wizard configuration, and adding new items manually is not that big of a deal. On the contrary, the creation window gives you the possibility to configure events better. With several tabs at your disposal, you can include all kinds of info, ranging from text and comments, groups, date range, pictures, notes, and links to particular websites.

All events you create are shown on the timeline, in the column of the specific month, and stretching for the duration you set. Almost every aspect can be customized. Groups can be fitted with icons, colors, and different font style, and so do events, making it easier to differentiate them. The timeline itself can be equipped with a different background pictures, and you can even move the time bar, or switch position to vertical.

All things considered, we come to the conclusion that Timeline Studio is a neat way to keep track of events on the long run. It can even be used as a simple diary, or custom photo book, since events hold more pictures, and text. Customization lets you make it personal, with different export options to share with others.
