Rubbish

Many love to keep their programs running only in the system tray. One program that can provide such a commodity is Rubbish. And although it is named like that, it is not rubbish at all, whether we are talking about what it does or how well it is built.

What Rubbish does, is give you the possibility to add the Recycle Bin icon into the tray area instead of having it on your desktop. Some may want their icons in the tray, or need the extra space on their desktop, or just want to keep it clean, showing only their wallpaper, but they would also like to have easy access to that one special bin where everything you delete goes.

Rubbish comes with a straightforward installer, which lets you set it up in a few clicks. But you must be aware of the fact that, to be able to work, it is dependent on another program. So in case you wish to make use of it, you need to install AutoHotkey as well. This way, you will be able to launch it with no problems. On first start, it may take a little while to load, but once it does, it will work without any hiccups.

When you right-click its icon, in addition to the Open, Empty Recycle Bin and Exit options, you also have a Settings button. Here, you can find interesting settings to tweak, that you otherwise couldn't, or you would be required to access more complex menus from your operating system in order to configure them.

You have general options, like the possibility to start it with Windows, to add or remove the confirmation, progress window or sounds when deleting. But you  also have the options to use it with a single-click action, change the update speed, or set it to automatically empty the bin if the number or size of the items is higher or lower than a set value.

Besides the ability to change how the "full" or "empty" icons look, you can also choose to use the CCleaner integration feature, in case you use the program and have it installed.

Who would've thought that so many interesting features could be added in regards to deleting files from your computer? Rubbish proves to be an application that improves Recycle Bin usage in a simple, yet efficient way.
