Word Icons

Word Icons represents a collection of 45 icons that you can apply to your files, folders and applications, in order to personalize your computer.

It can be used by anyone, regardless of their IT level of experience, since there is no complicated procedure to unpacking the archive and using the pictures.

Installation is not necessary, as all you have to do is extract the files to any location on the hard disk. It is also possible to save them to a USB flash drive, external hard drive or similar storage unit, in order to keep a backup files and carry them around whenever you're on the go.

Since the files take up insignificant space on the hard disk, you can even store them on an online email account, for instance, in order to gain access to the icons from any location.

The images have a small resolution of 32 x 32 pixels. They depict a stop sign, "Read me" image, lists, library, graphics, documents, and dates, to name a few.

Further adjustments can be made to them (e.g. brightness, contrast, hue, special effects) by using specialized graphics editing tools that support the ICO format, such as Greenfish Icon Editor Pro.

Unfortunately, this is a pretty old collection that has not been enhanced for a very long time. The images have a low resolution and are clearly outdated. Nevertheless, they could suit anyone with a taste for the vintage style when it comes to computer elements, regardless of their skill level.
