Toggle the Auto HDR on your Windows machine and configure it to work with specific applications and displays via custom profiles using this tool. #Automatic HDR #HDR Editor #HDR Profile #Auto HDR #Profile #Display
Starting with Windows 10 build 21337, Microsoft introduced a new feature to help enhance the gaming experience, namely Auto HDR. The feature has the role of enabling HDR visuals on an additional 1000+ DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games.
Unfortunately, for some computers, the feature is turned off. Although the name might not suggest it, AutoActions is a tool dedicated to automatically toggling on the HDR mode.
Even though the application is not truly portable, simply download and decompress in the desired location to get started. Before you can actually use the application, first you need to create a profile, a simple and straightforward action that you can do by following the requirements in the dedicated Profiles tab.
More precisely, you can specify the application started and closed actions along with the apps that should get focus or lost focus actions. You can configure the refresh rate, resolution and other similar parameters to any program you want. The profile can be assigned to different applications along with the monitor that you want to see the HDR features enabled.
In case you want to make sure you set up the right monitor displays, then you can do so from the Monitors tab. The same section also provides information on the device name, resolution, whether the Auto HDR is enabled and the device ID and name.
While the same features can be accessed via the settings, the advantage of the tool is that you have more customization options and can manage individual apps and games behavior more efficiently. Then again, you need to make sure that your displays support the HDR feature, as otherwise the tool will obviously not work.
In the eventuality that you would like to take advantage of the Auto HDR feature and enhance your gaming experience, then perhaps you can consider giving AutoActions a try.
