CamZilla

The Internet is filled with all sort of nice applications that you could use in order to create media content on your computer.

One of such applications is CamZilla. It allows you to take snapshots of your desktop and create video or image files. It comes with lots of nice features and tools, all neatly arranged in an intuitive graphical interface.

The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. It's packed with all sort of nice tools and features, neatly arranged under an intuitive graphical interface.

CamZilla can be used for taking snapshots of your desktop and creating nice videos or images.

You can use the application for computer-based-training, instruction, software demo creation, employee performance monitoring, and other applications. You have the option to capture images in various formats like JPG, PNG, BMP, or GIF. JPG is good for high color count and optional compression, PNG and GIF are popular on web pages for somewhat lower color count, and uncompressed BMP is large but universal.

You have the option to insert a delay of a few seconds before the screenshort is taken. This allows you to select the desired window or control to have focus, or a menu to display, since otherwise clicking the button causes menus to vanish.

Similar to the timer of a camera, the program will beep each second to let you know when the capture will occur.

Select Window from CamZilla capture selector control. Click the Snapshot button and move the cursor around the screen, and observe various top-level windows being highlighted by a selection rectangle.

It's easy to capture videos as well. We find that 5 frames/sec and 300 kbits/sec (full screen) is good to start. Change if you need smaller files or smoother motion. CamZilla is a very nice application that you could use to take snapshots of your desktop and create video and image files.
