Screen Ruler

Screen Ruler is a small software application designed specifically for helping you measure pixel distances on your screen. It can be deployed on all Windows versions out there.

This is a portable utility. You can store it on USB flash drives or other portable devices to have it with you all the time. You may run it without administrative privileges.

Gaining access to its features requires only opening the executable file because there’s no setup included in the process. It does not write entries to your Windows registry and leave other configuration files on the target PC. It actually saves the settings data on the storage device.

You are welcomed by a well-structured suite of features. All measurement details are displayed in a single window, making it very easy for you to interpret the values. Although you cannot appeal to a help manual, you can get an idea about the application works in a short amount of time because the settings look highly intuitive.

Screen Ruler simplifies the measurement process to a child’s play. You only need to press on the ‘Start Measurement’ button in order to activate the measurement mode.

Only two clicks are required from your side in order to get the results. The measurement information is automatically revealed in the main window and includes details about the screen points’ x and y coordinates, distance, as well as angle from a horizontal or vertical perspective. On the downside, the results cannot be copied to the clipboard and exported to a file on your computer.

Tests have shown that Screen Ruler carries out a task quickly and without errors. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.

Screen Ruler has to offer nothing more than a simplistic approach and basic features for helping you calculate different measurements between two mouse clicks.
