While we've become quite used to functional apps having bland names such as "Writing App" or "Cleaning App", it's nice to know there are still developers who like to sell a story, despite having to deal with programs that are pure functionality. Espresso is an app that is meant to be served as a computer enhancer. It forces your PC to avoid entering sleep mode or any other power-saving function. This means that your PC will stay up no matter what the cost and will continue whatever task it is you want it to complete.

Just like in real life, when you run the risk of going to sleep and leaving unfinished business, you need some sort of aid, and that aid could only be in the form of a caffeine-filled drink. The same goes for your computer with this particular app. Actually, it should be noted that the concept is not necessarily original, as it has been implemented — just like the developer points out on his page — on Mac. With this application, you will never have to worry about your PC deciding to go to sleep. Your work is safe, indeed.

I think the story part, mentioned earlier, is best understood once the app is run. Why? Simply because activating and deactivating the program is done by clicking on the coffee cup and filling it, respectively emptying it, in order to achieve the computer status you want or need. It's actually a bit hilarious. The drawing itself is a representation of the need to go the extra mile, especially in the app industry. It's, once again, the story that sort of sells the product, metaphorically, because Espresso is free to use for all.

Espresso is an application that most individuals should have lying around on their computers. Not only does it provide functions that we'll all need at some point, in our lives, but it could actually save you a lot of time and help you avoid stress. Less work will go missing due to bad PC sleep judgment calls, and, in the end, it will be the user who will get to sleep more comfortably, not the other way around.
