Screen sharing, while an integral part of modern collaboration, often brings its share of challenges. From unintentionally revealing cluttered desktops to exposing confidential files, the act of sharing your entire screen can lead to various issues, some more unpleasant than others.

InfoLens is a tiny tool that proposes a simple, yet efficient way to deal with this issue, namely to selectively cover specific areas of your desktop.

The application doesn’t include an interface, but it is rather a frame that you can move around anywhere on your desktop and mask certain areas. You will be happy to learn most elements of the frame are customizable, starting with the color.

To change the frame’s color, you can access the Settings from the top right corner and select anything you like. You will need to do this manually, as the app doesn’t include a box where you could paste or type a certain color tone.

Other elements that can be customized regarding the frame are the transparency, and you can completely hide the background by choosing the full opacity.

If you prefer not doing this every time you need to share your screen, then you can specify a start position for the frame where you need to input the precise coordinate on the X and Y axis. You can also ensure that the frame mark the Where you left off button, if you need to share your screens later on during the meeting.

Overall, the program ensures that you no longer need to worry about tidying up your entire workspace or hastily removing files and icons before a presentation. InfoLens offers a practical and efficient alternative, allowing you to drag and resize a frame, seamlessly revealing only the areas you choose and ensuring a clean and focused sharing experience.
