RainbowFrame

The latest editions of Windows, and particularly Windows 11, comes with many streamlined elements and fresh look. Despite this visual upgrades, it still may not be to everyone’s taste.

Thankfully, the OS has always been easy to customize and, you can also take advantage of the numerous third-party tools out there to personalize it even further. RainbowFrame is a Store App that enables you to change any window border color.

The installation is a standard operation to any other MS Store application, so just add to your library. The app comes with a minimalistic and user-friendly interface that displays the current open application windows to the left and the customization options to the right.

As you probably hinted, to make any changes, first you need to select the desired window and then go to options and select the desired effect. You can apply an amazing, yet discreet rainbow effect to the active window that changes colors every second in the seven colors of the rainbow.

You have the possibility to change the speed of the effect up to 10. At the same time, you can stop the effect and should, if you feel that Windows is becoming sluggish due to the visual effect. After all, it’s not really recommended to add too many effects, unless you have a powerful computer that can display them without affecting performance.

Alternatively, you can opt for a single color effect. Simply click on the Choose color button, and you can make your own color via RGB or HVS. You can also just paste the desired color directly in the dedicated field.
