Set the current Spotlight lock screen images as the desktop wallpaper automatically, with this tiny program that runs quietly in the background. #Spotlight Wallpaper #Spotlight Background #Wallpaper Changer #Spotlight #Wallpaper #Background
The Windows Spotlight feature is great for users who want to spice up their lock screen, as it displays high-quality photos and even gives you the option of choosing which types of images should be shown. However, there is no easy way to save these pictures and use them as your desktop wallpaper.
Spotlight Desktop is a simple, open-source program that provides a solution – it runs silently in the background and sets the current Spotlight image as your wallpaper automatically. It has a minimal memory footprint and is very easy to install.
To begin with, it is worth appreciating just how simple it is to set up Spotlight Desktop. The installation process consists of a series of straightforward steps, and you don’t need to configure anything.
Once the program has been installed, it will begin running in the background, and your wallpaper should be switched to the current Spotlight image right away. Since the application lacks a UI, you will need to uninstall it to stop it from changing your wallpaper.
The utility grabs Spotlight pictures that are stored locally on your computer but are very difficult to find and extract. Since Spotlight provides a new image for you daily, you will have a new wallpaper every day, and it will also match the lock screen picture.
As expected, Spotlight Desktop’s resource usage is pretty much negligible, and it is launched automatically at system startup. It only runs in the background, so you need to uninstall it in order to prevent it from changing your wallpaper again.
In short, Spotlight Desktop does exactly what the description says, and it won’t bother you again after it has been installed. Not the most complex application ever made, but it is definitely a useful one.
