Manifold India Free Screensaver

For hundreds of years the "far east" has been shrouded in myths and legends, and this should come as no surprise given the rich lore, beautiful countryside, and marvelous architecture that it boasts. A good example of the far east is India, and Manifold India Free Screensaver is a good app to have with if you're just starting to learn about it.

If you live in a great metropolis with skyscrapers, glass buildings that has too much of a "man-made" feel to it, then surely you yearn for lush vegetation, rich history or the overall need to escape from reality. While this app cannot physically transport you to India, it can surely make your mind wander.  The pictures are carefully chosen to capture the wonders of this magnificent country, and the quality of the pictures themselves is something to admire. It doesn't matter if you want to see an elephant, Buddha, the Taj Mahal or just a typical colorful countryside, the screensaver has it all.

Down to its basic function, this screensaver is nothing more than a wallpaper slideshow where you can configure the image and transition keep time. Some of the wallpapers also showed signs of pixelation when tested on screens with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, so enjoying the app to its fullest is achieved only if you have older, low-resolution monitors. During the setup process, it would be advised that you make sure you notice the app's offer of changing your browser's default homepage, so that you may deselect it. Another thing worth mentioning is that besides a desktop shortcut, installing the app will create two other shortcuts leading to websites that have other free screensavers. Unfortunately, you are not given the option of not creating these icons.

Manifold India Free Screensaver is a good app for when you want to imbue your desktop with some oriental magic, as long as you keep your eyes open during the setup process.
