Everything in this app is created in high-quality 3D which are accompanied by nicely rendered textures. The water reflexion and animation also adds to the realistic effect the whole scenery has on you. The way the ruins are filled with moss, or how a golden Mayan calendar can be seen lying on the river bed makes you wonder what brought an end to this mighty civilization. The idea itself of using water that "washes away" everything along with ruins that are a symbol of things that once were is also a right way of expressing the passing of time.

Despite the impressive visuals, the app doesn't cause any performance issues with the system, neither in screensaver nor animated wallpaper mode. However, if you do encounter performance drops while using this app, several features in the "Settings" menu can be either disabled or adjusted to ensure a smoother experience. For example, you can disable the high texture and water quality, the pixel shaders and even the sounds altogether. The sounds and music can also be adjusted, and so can the screen's resolution or aspect ratio.  If you're running a multi-monitor setup, you'll be glad to hear the program supports multiple screens at once
