Just like the sky and space above us, they earthly reflection, the wide open waters, have equally fascinated and sparked our imagination. Oceanian Sketches Free Screensaver is a screensaver application that will send your mind far away on some sandy beach, so that you may relax right in front of your screen.

We all have moments when we fantasize about a vacation that we can spend somewhere in a tropical region, far away from all our worries and all our sorrow. The pictures that are presented in this app will surely manage to do so, even if only with a fraction of the efficiency. This desktop enhancement tool is basically a slideshow or multiple images depicting beaches and other typical tropical settings. It also brings some utility to the table, in the forma of a digital clock.

Despite it being nothing more than a slideshow, the app has several features that allow you customize the screensaver to better suit your taste. For example, you can adjust the image keep and transition duration, or change the digital clock's format from 12h to 24h format. Additionaly, if you want to know how smoothly the screensaver runs on your system, you also have the option to display a FPS counter. All these features can be adjusted from the OS' built-in screensaver manager, and ensures that each of you can tailor their screensaver viewing experience according to their own taste

Despite the pictures being very well taken, they are also the reason the app's biggest flaw was observed: they are not up to today's standards quality-wise. During testing on a 1920x1080 monitor, most images showed signs of pixelation, which makes this app not recommendable towards people with monitors of even higher resolution. Additionaly, the app doesn't seem to be optimized for wide-screen monitors since both images and clock are visibly stretched out.

Oceanian Sketches Free Screensaver is welcome addition to any fan of tropical paradises and beautiful oceans, unfortunately if you are using a high-definition monitor, you would be better off using a different app.
