AI-generated images have been making the rounds lately. From stunning artworks you'd think were created by artists with dozens of years of experience, to outright disconcerting, uncanny-valley type stuff, there's a really fascinating world out there in the AI realm.

If those AI-generated artworks caught your eye, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have some of them on your desktop. Though you can manually look for them yourself and apply them manually, WallpaperOS skips that part entirely, providing users with new, AI-generated, wallpaper-worthy photos for their desktops, daily.

Wallpapers can be a bit of a moot point. Some users are really particular with what to put on their desktop, while others couldn't care less. For those in the latter group, the default Windows photos work just fine, as they're not a particularly discerning bunch. Users in the former group, however, can be harder to please, which is why such a program can serve them well.

Using the tool is as easy as booting up your computer: execute it, wait for the Command Prompt window to finish the work, and click Enter to close it when everything's done. Your wallpaper will instantly change to an AI-generated one, and you can expect a new one each day.

There's no way to customize or configure anything, which some users might not be too fond of. You cannot change the daily wallpaper, and there's no information pertaining to the resolutions of the images. The wallpaper for today seemed plenty sharp, but I'm not entirely sure if it can scale on a higher resolution display, such as a 1440P or 4K one — perhaps the app automatically chooses the one matching, or closest to your resolution. Nevertheless, as they are AI-generated stills, it is entirely possible for them to be released in all available resolutions.

Regardless, the images of WallpaperOS can make for a nice way to style up your desktop. The tool can be used by anyone, and the stills are sure to be to the liking of many.
